In The UW...?
In the UW do you get less loot from bigger pulls?
for instance i pull about 10 smites at the same time and kill them all and only 101gp drops, but if i pulled them individually it seems like they drop more :s |

I have seen debates about this. Supposedly, if you kill a large number of monsters at the same time there will be less drops. It applies to everywhere, not just UW. To me, it seems to be true.
I run a nuker ele in raptor farming, and get next to nothing in drops. I run a sliver armor ele for other farms, and there seems to be more drops because I am killing one thing at a time. That is just my experience. |

BTW why do you use a nuker build farming raptors? It is harder to use and you can't kill the boss like the sliver armor can! Sorry to digress Last edited by CandyPrince; Mar 27, 2008 at 05:54 PM // 17:54.. |

The exact mechanics are not known, but you do get less drops if you kill many enemies at once.

How fast or in what order you kill is irrelevant. However - which monster will drop which loot does depend. So unless you kill every monster that *can* drop an ecto, then you may get only a part of ectos that would drop. Since you're killing smites only, it may happen that while a total of 15 ectos were put into the pool, they won't drop from those smites, but would from other mobs. If you were to kill every single mob, you'd find that the total value of loot is quite constant. |

A normal kind of drop for 3 smites...
The drops.. A normal drop for 11 Smites together.. The drops.. I would say this gives a pretty acurate representation as its what normally happens, although ive only shown 2 cases. |

I have noticed this as well, in FoW and in Tombs when I solo. I have been yelled at repeatedly in other threads about this subject "Drops are Random" "its All in your head" and other smart ass remarks. But truth be told, your pictures speak the truth, I will try to take a few in FoW tonight and post them. You will see the same results.

I've done 55 SS and 55 SV farming and almost 90% of the time get more drops with SV. Killing them one at a time usually nets more.
